Amicable divorce · South Africa
A better way to navigate an amicable divorce.
Organise your information, work through settlement options together, and arrive at an agreement that's ready for a lawyer to review.
Disclose clearly
Each of you lists assets and liabilities privately, then shares.
Agree thoughtfully
Propose, counter and accept item by item, with a cooling-off period.
Document properly
Every proposal and acceptance is recorded in an audit trail.
Review & finalise
Hand a structured settlement to a lawyer for review.
Everything you need to divorce fairly
One private place for both of you, from first disclosure to the divorce order.
Private screening
Consent, safety and complexity questions only you can see.
Item by item
Disclose, then propose, counter and agree who keeps what.
Bonds and loans
Loans are linked to the assets they're secured against, so equity is clear.
Parenting plan
Where the children live, holidays, schedules and costs.
Pet plan
Who keeps the pets, and how you share their time and costs.
Maintenance planner
Each household's month under different maintenance amounts.
Cooling-off
Big decisions wait 48 hours, so nobody is rushed.

More for you, less for the lawyers
Settle it yourselves, or share one lawyer, and keep more to divide. Start fighting, and the legal fees eat into what's left, paid by one of you or both.
Simple pricing
Indicative prices for now. DIY is the commitment to start. A legal review or assisted filing can be added later, and what you have already paid comes off.
DIY
R 750
The complete do-it-yourself process. This payment is also the commitment to start.
Legal review
R 3 000
A lawyer reviews the settlement. The price is set in admin and is indicative.
Assisted divorce
R 5 000
Someone prepares and submits the court documents for you. Indicative for now.

Questions
What is Agreeably?
An online platform for couples in South Africa who want to divorce amicably. You each disclose your assets and debts, agree who keeps what item by item, plan parenting, pets and maintenance, and end up with a draft settlement agreement for a lawyer to review.
Is Agreeably a law firm?
No. Agreeably is a settlement facilitator, not a law firm or an arbitrator, and nothing on it is legal advice. A lawyer reviews your agreement before anyone signs.
How does Agreeably save on legal fees?
When you agree together you can share one lawyer for the uncontested divorce. When even one asset is fought over in court, each of you needs your own lawyer, and the fees come out of what's left to divide.
Is my information private?
Your private screening answers are never shown to your spouse, ID and account numbers are encrypted, and you can export or erase your data at any time, as POPIA requires.
Do we both need an account?
Yes. One of you starts the case and invites the other; each spouse uses their own account, so private answers stay private.
How much does it cost?
Indicative prices: DIY is R750 and is the commitment to start, a legal review is R3 000 unless admin has set another price, and assisted filing is R5 000. What you have already paid comes off if you move up. See the plans on this page.
